About the Instructor
Steven Wasserman Sensei currently holds the rank of Godan (5th Degree Black Belt) and has been involved in martial arts for over 35 years. He has had extensive training in the martial art of Krav Maga and has trained in Aikido since 1996. Over the years, he has had the privilege to train under the instruction of AAA and the late F. Toyoda Sensei/AAA. He established Beach City Aikido in June 2011.
One of his major teaching philosophies, "there is no such such thing as advanced technique, only basic technique done well."
Personal
- Dr. Steven Wasserman, Chiropractor, completed his undergraduate in 1979 with honors at Cypress College in Cypress, California and graduated with a Registered Nursing degree.
- After graduating, he worked for two years at Long Beach Memorial Medical Center in emergency and critical care.
- Dr. Wasserman was accepted to Los Angeles College of Chiropractic in 1981 where he studied for four years and received his Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Chiropractic Degrees. Having achieved high scholastic standing, he graduated Cum Laude, Dean's List, and Delta Sigma Honorary Scholastic Society of the Healing Arts.
- While attending chiropractic college, he worked at Doctor's Hospital of Lakewood where he specialized in emergency room trauma care and worked there part time from 1981 to 1996.
- Dr. Wasserman has been in practice in Los Alamitos since 1985. He commonly treats acute, chronic, and functional wellness conditions.
